Dale
Founder & Lead Piano Tutor
BA (Hons) Music Performance, Abertay
Dale began his music career playing violin aged 9 before switching to piano a year later. He graduated from the University of Abertay in 2013 with a BA (Hons) in Music Performance, specialising in classical music, and from the University of Chichester in 2021 with an MFA in Music Composition for Film, Television and Video Games.
Though classically trained, Dale plays many genres including folk, jazz and pop/rock. Alongside teaching, he performs at over 90 weddings and corporate events a year across the country, and does occasional session work in recording studios. He is also passionate about music technology and recording.
Dale has taught piano for over 10 years and also teaches at Bright Path Piano in Livingston and St. Leonard's School in St Andrews.
Denise
Piano Tutor
BA (Hons) Music, Edinburgh Napier · LTCL Solo Piano (Distinction)
Denise Wong started playing piano at the age of eight. She graduated from the HKIEd with a Certificate in Secondary Education (major in Music, minor in History), then was awarded a full-fees scholarship for the Edinburgh Napier University BA (Hons) in Music. Studying with Mr Nicholas Ashton, she gained the Licentiate in Solo Piano from Trinity College London with Distinction, and was awarded the John Younger Medal for Piano Duet at the Edinburgh Music Festival. She has performed at St Giles' Cathedral and held a piano recital at the Scottish Parish Church.
After graduating she explored concert production and ballet accompaniment before devoting herself to music education in Hong Kong, teaching solo piano, duets, ensemble, aural training and theory. In 15 years of teaching, her students have achieved ATCL solo piano with Distinction, ABRSM Grades 1–8 piano with Distinction/Merit, and HKSMSA Grade 6 piano Champion.
In July 2023 she relocated to Scotland with her family and continues to teach professionally. Based in Dunfermline, she loves exploring Scotland's glens and lochs.

Hamish has a clear and communicative teaching style, which focuses on keeping learning enjoyable, while delivering the key technical aspects required for students to achieve their goals. He studied classical and pop styles at Edinburgh Napier University, with a passion for composition. Beyond the classroom, he remains an active composer and performer.
